PRODUCT PERFORMANCE:
Spodoptera exigua nucleopolyhedrovirus (SeNPV) is a microorganism which could kill Spodoptera exigua. When it is sprayed on crops and eaten by pests, the virus particles will replicate and proliferate within the body of pests, at the same time, rapidly spread to whole body of pests. It will radically consume insect body tissues. During this period, the pests cannot feed and move, of which shows a sublethal effect, finally its body turn into water and die; when it is sprayed on the hatching larvae, the larva will also die of feeding the virus spread onto the egg shell. In addition, the virus particles will continue to infect the next generation or other pests through dead body fluids and feces like a "plague" of pests, so that the field pests can be effectively controlled for long time.
